About 2 years ago I found one of these receivers in a dumpster and took it home it proved to be one of the best finds ever. Lots more power than the claimed 85 watts. Needed some repair it seems the previous owner slammed the volume knob to turn it off and bent the contact pins inside the potentiometer I was able to fix it for 4 dollars and about 2 hours of my time with parts available from the shack. That screams well built to me! I was impressed with all the options for sound control and adjustment and have loved this tuner since the day I fixed it! Recently I got bored and decided to add a cooling fan I had laying around. In the process I shorted out the output circuitry and fried a couple of transistors. Haven't got parts ordered to fix that but it was my mistake and no fault of the unit. If you can find one of these receivers buy it you will not be disappointed.
