I have had 613's for going on thirty years. They continue to perform as new. Nuanced listening is best with the dust covers off. If you use a solid state amp it should be one designed for low impedance loads (I use an Acurus A 250 and it works well. These are probably best with a tube amp. Your home theatre receiver power supply will not do justice. Proper room placement means everything with 613's and you will be rewarded with good sound stage and accurate response that you can listen to for hours at high volume with little fatigue. The 613's have bi wire capability but it does not seem to make much difference. However, investing in high end cable can yield a discernable difference.
