4 out of 5 "Solid heavyweight that's essentially neutral with great bass extension" new
The image above shows the DM2a. This review pertains to the original DM2 - black front baffle with Heco tweeter (not Coles as shown) mounted beside the Celestion HF1300.

Internally complex, with various types of absorbent material used in this eighth-wave transmission-line system. LF unit has bextrene cone with PVC surround, all on a die-cast frame. (One-up on KEF with their steel B200!) Crossover has polyester caps - no electrolytics - but is not easily accessible for push-on contact cleaning or inspection.

Sound is very civilised, but some people might notice a bit of 'bloom' or overhang in the lower mid when compared with certain infinite-baffle models (such as LS3/5a or Leak Sandwich 600).

Bass is really good, but you'll need a large room (and decent amplifier with high current availability) to benefit from it.

For listening at sofa-height, stands of 12-18" are recommended.
