5 out of 5 "Tannoy 6.4"
These are magnificent!! I've owned some very good speakers in the past...Proac, Eclipse, Focal etc. These have been the best to date that I have heard in my house.
They are very unfussy and work extremely well with ALL kinds of music.
I find that they adore valve electronics. Being a valve fan, I tried them with my lovely 300b amp, and it was an instant match made in heaven. Don't get me wrong, they also work very well with high quality s.state components.
Overall, a very sound buy (pardon the pun!!) that's also beautifully finished. I would consider them an audiophile bargain at £2400.00....just get a pair....you WON'T be disappointed!!

5 out of 5 "Tannoy Precision 6.4"
I've owned these speakers for about 3 months now and they are unfailingly musical. There was absolutely no contest between the Tannoys and my old speakers, which were Focal 826V's. The Tannoys deliver a realism to the sound that makes you want to go and grab people off the street, just to have them come in for a listen.
The only thing I would not use them for is large parties. There are limits to how much you can expect out of a speaker with 6-inch bass drivers.

5 out of 5 "Truly, truly magical"
Beautifully detailed, dynamic and accurate with power, pace and poise. The specialness of the sound produced is huge, resulting in an almost live performance feel with sound appearing to come form all directions. At the right volume vocalist and acoustic guitars sound like they are actually in the room it's so realistic. The title Precision is definitely apt for these speakers as they just handle absolutely anything with shear class. Throw any recording at them and they untangle it and deliver it back to you in sonic layers.

An upgrade of my speakers was well overdue but I was a little apprehensive about buying these due to the price tag so a couple of trips to my nearest stockist (70 miles away - they're not easy to find) to do some demos was a definite must. Normally, when you demo equipment in store it seems to sound much better than it does when you get it home but these were completely the opposite. They were mind blowing in the store but they sounded even better at home. As soon as I heard them I knew that they were something special and all of those doubts simply disappeared.

I would not hesitate to recommend these, no matter what your musical taste is. I feel extremely lucky to be in a position to be able to own a pair of these Precision 6.4's and the months of hard work saving for them has been truly rewarded.
