 "Great little deck, reads track index lightning fast"
This was the first CD player I ever bought after doing a lot of research into what was available. Between the excellent specs on this unit and a special deal available at that time through Sony Music through which I could buy 5 CD's at a discount of $5 each.
Over the years I have bought changers, even a 200 CD "jukebox" unit, but I still kept this one. The sound of these earlier CD players seems somehow smoother and well-detailed compared to later units. I suspect their Digital-to-Analog Converters (DACs) were made better than later units.
I'm currently waiting on a replacement tray belt to get this back into full working shape. In over 33 years this has worked flawlessly, and its small form factor is a handy alternative to a larger unit.
